Ryan Stig (born 7 November 1989) is a rugby league footballer for the Newcastle Knights of the National Rugby League.[1] He plays at five-eighth and halfback in the NSW Cup competition. He was named in the 2011 Newcastle Knights fulltime train-on squad.
Born in Nambucca Heads, New South Wales, Stig played his junior football with the Morpeth Bulls. He later played for the Newcastle Knights lower grade sides including the Toyota Cup side before joining the Northern Pride for 2010. In 2010 he signed a deal to play first-grade with the Newcastle Knights from 2011 onwards. He made a winning NRL debut against the Penrith Panthers in Round 15.
